"The difference between a Supaemcee and simply an accomplished lyricist"

"10/10... [Shad] is a more than worthy candidate to lead hip-hop into the future"

"Shad’s rhythm is as tight as a metronome. He may be an amorous dreamer who still lives with his parents, but there is nothing juvenile about his lyrics and delivery. The Old Prince may not be that old yet, but he already sounds like he has perfected his art."

"Shad shows that he certainly earns all of the praise, critical acclaim, awards, and hype that he has garnered through this magnificent LP."

"Shad is Hip Hop Royalty"

"5N's ... one of the wittiest lyricists in hiphop"

Shad - Freestyle (2006)

This is some old footage from Shad's 2006 performance at the Beats, Breaks & Culture festival. He was opening up for Cadence Weapon in the Brigantine Room at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre.  There were some technical difficulties with the decks in the middle of the performance, so Shad dropped a free, and I started handing him stuff that I found by the stage.

Fun times!
